Workshops

Eric Kim teaches students how to follow through on their goals.

The Manga Dojo classes focused on making engaging stories, talking with printers, making physical books and fundraising for covering costs. Other workshops focus on story development, or simply giving insight into how stories and comics are made.

Students get involved with expressing themselves, empowering themselves by making books that can be disseminated to friends and peers, and coming through on achieving goals. What seems distant becomes achievable, and that is the critical aim.

Students learn to create goals and problem solve. This improves focus, confidence, decision making, perseverence and encourages the development of creative solutions.

Eric Kim is a graduate of Sheridan College’s Interpretive Illustration program, and also the post-graduate Computer Animation program. His experience in publishing, illustration, film, TV and video games gives him an excellent perspective in guiding students towards their intended goals.

Eric has taught a wide range of students, from children to adults.
